The life we really want

Kia ora whānau,

As we continue to explore together what reorganising our lives around Jesus looks like, we can take comfort from Paul's words to the Philippians. He stated that God is actually at work in us to give us his desires and to empower us to be obedient to him. If we put some habits in place (personally and corporately) around connecting with him he will do this. And life is so much easier when we get to do what we really want to do! I grew up thinking that a mature Christian was measured by the amount of time spent reading the bible, going to church and praying, when in reality, these things are just means to an end. They are the way that God allows us to experience him and change what we desire. The end is to know God and be obedient to him (working out our salvation) by loving him, loving each other, and loving the world.

So are there any habits that God is inviting you to develop this week?

Let's keep our eyes on Jesus (which is a really good habit),

Mark
