God is moving!

Kia ora whānau,

A big thanks to Penny for her words on Sunday (and to everyone who helped make things happen). We have so many amazing people in our midst. Richard and I were at Synod, the annual meeting for the Anglican Wellington Diocese which was held in Ohakune this year. In the past, Synod has been, well, a bit of a hard slog to get through at times (at least for me). I have been in this diocese for eight years now, and I am quite amazed at the change that has taken place. The atmosphere is quite different. There is hope and vision. There is a sense of family. There is a an awareness of God's presence among us (of course it did not hurt that we had a stunning view of Mount Ruapehu as we met). When we begin to look for Synod reps next year, I hope some of you will keep that in mind. God is way bigger than the Anglican tribe, of course, but it is so encouraging to see what is happening.

As we seek to reorganise our lives around Jesus, this week, let's remember that we are not alone. God has many people in this city who are seeking him with all their hearts. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
