Living a gospel worthy life
Kia ora whānau,
When we are convinced of the reality and goodness of God as revealed to us in Jesus, we can be united and fearless in the face of opposition. At least that is what the Apostle Paul wrote to his friends in Philippi so many years ago. He wrote that to people who were facing real persecution because of their faith in Jesus - just like he was. He encouraged them to live in a way that was worthy of the gospel. Worthy of the gospel! Those are such challenging words
There is a reason why he told his readers to be united in this. They needed each other. So do we. There are times when we do lose heart. There are times when we are intimated or fearful. There are times when we forget God’s goodness and our faith becomes shakey. There are times when sickness or the overwhelming circumstances of life make it hard for us to even pray. All of us have those moments, I imagine. So let’s encourage each other this week to stand firm in the Spirit. May God bless you and do more in you and through you than you could ever even imagine.
Keep your eyes on Jesus,
Mark
