Contentment in Christ
Hi Whānau,
I hope you're all feeling rested from the weekend and are enjoying this beautiful sunny day. I've been thinking a lot about Mark's message (if you haven't heard it you can have a listen on our our website). I love when I hear teaching that explains the context of "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength", because we so often misquote and misinterpret it. The only way we can live above our circumstances is if we find our contentment and centre in Christ. Sometimes that's easy-breezy, but more often than not its a decision that needs to be made; a habit that needs to be formed. I would love to encourage you all to find even just one situation this week in which you can put Jesus above your circumstances. Stressed at work? Jesus is enough. Tricky family situations? Jesus is enough. Budget not adding up? Jesus is enough. And as you go on making a habit of placing him above everything else, you'll find that His grace is sufficient, and that you really can do "all things through Christ".
Have an extraordinary week, and we'll see you on Sunday.
Gabby
